Historical 3-2 victory for Galicia in their first game in almost 70 years. Galicia clearly dominated Uruguay in a vibrant and intense match in front of an enthusiastic crowd. The Uruguayans only managed to score once Galicia relaxed in the dying moments of the game.

Deportivo failed once again at the Riazor after they couldn’t bypass Espanyol's defensive line. The entrance of Armando S?? was the key for the Catalans, as he took the corner kick that resulted in the first goal and later increased the lead for his team. Trist??n’s later effort wasn't enough to avoid the third home defeat of the season.

Deportivo won the first Galician derby of the new era, and did so with a categoric score. Caparros' men dominated the match and closed the score sheet in the first half after three goals. With this important victory, Deportivo climb to the third spot and can only be surpassed by Real Madrid, which means that they have finally reached the Champions League positions.
