But for a 15 min period in the second half, Sevilla totally dominated and looked a class above Boro in all departments.
Navas fulfilled his potential and seemed more intent on beating players then throwing himself to the floor, which is something I'd like to see him do more consistantly. (beating players, not diving lol).
Both full backs looked good as well, plus Maresca did another fine job.

Of the few positive things to say about Boro, Viduka was unlucky when his well struck volley was saved by Palop and equally as unlucky when he was bundled over in the area by Navarro with the score only 1-0.

It was good to see the Boro players and manager didn't use that as an excuse and admitted that the best team won. It was a bit like men against boys in the end.

Mclaren seems a bit hypocritical to me. I agree with nearly everything he said but don't know how he can correctly point out where they went wrong and how well Sevilla did and also state that they went out to decisions that didn't go there way. Maybe he's been told he has to brush up in the "excuses" department if he intends to be the England manager.

The rest of the report does seem to reflect the unbiased views of Boro though. Good stuff.

Congrats to Sevilla!! I'm thrilled to death for them! They played an outstanding match; Navas, Maresca, and Alves all had awsome games. Our Biris Norte brothers did us proud!

Go... Go Boro... :depresse: :depresse: :depresse:

Anyway thanks a lot from all Russia for crashing Romanians...

Sevilla were simply in a different league from Boro last night as were thier fans who sang throughout unlike the pathetic teesiders who sat on their arses making very little noise.
