This morning, the Royal Spanish Football Federation has held a meeting with different clubs, among which was Deportivo, to establish the bases of the new Segunda B Pro, a category to which the blue and white team currently aspires. In what will be the third step in Spanish football and the previous step to La Liga, there will be a total of 40 teams divided into two groups geographically. As reported by Cazurreando.com, these are some of the most outstanding issues that have been discussed:
Two groups of 20 teams,
geographically distributed . Round trip, reaching 38 days.
Direct promotion to Second Division for the
first classified of each group.
From the 2nd to the 5th of each group they play a playoff to decide another two promotion spots. Without penalty shootouts, in the event of a tie, the team with the highest score passes the round.
From 16th to 20th of each group, descent to 2nd RFEF.
Maximum of 23 licenses for each team. 24 in case of having a third goalkeeper.
Minimum of 18 professional licenses. Approximate cost of € 4,000 each.
Minimum of 8 sub-23 licenses per team.
There is still no limit for non-EU citizens.
Obligatory natural grass from season 22/23.
Minimum capacity with a perimeter stand of 4,000 spectators from the 23/24 season.
Maximum summons of 23 players per game.
Unified patch and font for numbers and names.
Licensed collegiate doctor in matches and training.
Marketing and transfer of TV rights (figures yet to be determined).
Future possibility of reducing the number of subsidiaries in the category.
€ 50,000 grant for each club.
Minimum budget for each club (figure not determined).
Fixed part of television income will be received month by month.
50% of television revenues will be shared equally.
25% based on sports results.
25% depending on punctures.
Negotiation with AFE for a collective agreement with a minimum wage for players.
