AS Roma with an undeserved win in the Rome derby against Lazio by 2-1. AS Roma to the next round of coppa Italia will meet Juve.

Great atmosphere as always at Olimpico

you know I love to mix the different topics together, and don't care too much about the boarders.

Roma played bad, but won, nice. What a laughable mistake by Radu .
4 people were injured in riots before the match, and the bus of the SS Boys was attacked by some flying stones...

Macheda loaned out from ManUtd scored for Samp who went through with penalties against Udine after 1-1 in normal time, and 2-2 in extra-time. Denis scored once again.

In the quareterfinals:
Napoli-Inter
Juventus-Roma
Palermo-Parma
Milan/Bari - Samp

Inter won Cesena for Serie A, and keeps climbing.

After Leonardo succeeded Benitez, Inter has 5 wins in a row and they could get AC Milan if they continue like this. Interesting

home wins against Bologna, Genoa and Cesena could have been done with Benitez as well.

Leonardo, the coach, who changed Inter
I have seen Udinese playing not outstandingly at all, and still winning easily against an awful Inter.
Di Natale with a class free-kick goal, and nothing else, but that was enough. Stankovic with a nice goal, and a great shot for Inter, but that was their all offence. Like Depor

Samp-Juve started as a war, in the first 15 minutes I don't know how many injuries, some 2-3 subs, I think, and later it was so boring, that I fall asleep
In the last moments Del Piero missed 2 - how you call it - sitters, wide open chances, and the match stayed goalless.

Robinho missed some open-net chances for Milan, but Ibrahimovic won the match against Cesena (2-0 for ACM).

Nice results for me: Parma, Palermo, and Roma all won.

Palermo go through, 5-4 in penalties, following a goalless match vs Parma.

The pressure was naturally on the home side which, as usual, failed to show the extra effort needed when things get complicated, while Pastore missed clear opportunities.

Delio Rossi is doing a good job, still it will take time to change mentality. Plus he has that chairman guy to deal with, a delicate situation week in week out. Migliaccio is probably the most valuable player there, crucial for the ballances in midfield defensively as well as offensively, a team player with a high work-rate you can rely on, the same with Miccoli. Tactically speaking, Rossi has not abandoned the path he used to follow during his Laccio days, his ideas provide flexibility in both aspects of the game if implemented correctly. Still, Palermo need to improve their work-rate, need to improve in terms of consistency. They can be much more competitive.

We will have the time to comment regarding their tactics in the process, for the moment they maintain their ambition in both Seria A and Coppa Italia.

After all, football is quite simple. Get the ball, and send it to the net, as simple as this:

Roma will face Inter Milan in the semis.
