There is something quite existensial about these games nowadays, the gap between BarcaReal and everyone else has widened so much, that there isn't really a place to hope anymore. It's almost a Spartan quest, with only the abscense of shame in store.

Expectable score, nothing more to tell you. The only thing that worries me was lack of fighting spirit.

What lack of fighting spirit? I thought the players did all they could. And if Adrian finishes was even a substitute defender at Sporting would finish, we'd even gotten in front. But you know that if you miss something like that against Barcelona, you're gonna lose. The second goal was just unlucky for us. And then at the end they finished us. Nothing more.

excepted loss, but not expected score. A 50 percent barca, no xavi, others playing at half capacity, never had troubles with us. Almost no chances for us.
The lineup was horror to start with.

but actually nothing to be mad about, calculated loss anyway

result sounds good 2 u playing home & losing 0-4 this really tough 4 me

I think it is good because we didn't recived more goals , I believe that if the first goal not scored the game would end with draw or lose 0-1 but not 4
By the way next match against Valincia and we can win In shalla.

put it in your mind

The 1st half was pretty good. They had 1 good chance and they scored, with the ball squirming through Aranzubias legs, while we also had 1 great chance but Adrian blew it. In the second half we capitulated a little against the best side in the world and we were without our two best players. Mixed emotions but I'm not too upset as I think the players were just absolutely knackered come the closing stages after pressing so much in the opening period.

Disgraceful amount of Barca fans in the Riazor last night (probably only about 1% had come from the other side of the country, bunch of glory hunting scumbags). I was kind of hoping some Depor fans would go on the rampage and beat the shit out of them.

Agreed, thats why I never watch Real Madrid or Barcelonas games (except when they play against us). It's really boring. I prefer to watch Almería - Racing Santander then Barcelona - Mallorca..

I thought the team put in a decent shift last night. Like Carlos, I'm not a fan of Lotina but I credit him with having the guts to change the formation last night. Even though it didn't work, I'm not levelling any criticism at him on this occasion.

I saw spirit in the team, even when we went 0-1 down. We kept going even if we didn't create a serious threat at Barca's goal. In other games, we pack our bags if we go 0-1 down. The quality of our players and our transition from defence to attack are well documented problems for us and you just know those things are going to count against you when you play against the very best.

My disappointments were Lopo, JD, Desma & Saul. On the plus side, Perez's two crossfield passes of about 45 yards to a teammate. With better players around him, this guy is gonna be some player.
