Default Season 07/08 - What are our ambitions?

The 06/07 season is over, and I gotta admit, that I was hoping for alot more than this. We won the Terasa Herrera beating teams such as Benfica and AC Milan, which ended up giving me false hope about European football next year. I'm not disappointed about the team, I probably just overrated our strength.

But let's forget this silly season and move on.
It looks like alot of changes will be made during the summer. Alot of our great players are leaving - Capdevila, Andrade, Arizmendi etc, while there's some players that could be leaving. So should we go out and spent big money on new players to replace the one's who'll leave or should the money go to our debts? Should we invest in one or two great players, or buy cheaper players, hoping they will break through? One thing is for sure, we'll see some new faces next season.

So, will the next season just another season where finishing in the mid-table is fine or do we have higher ambissions? Toto Cup or maybe even Uefa cup? Should we be realistic and say that mid table is just fine. Or should we be pessimistic hoping just to avoid relegation?

Staying in the Primera, I really doubt that our squad will be better next year, and with Lotina at the bench, we won't surprise anybody...

I'm happy if we don't relegate. And if we don't reach the final of the Copa, please don't bother reaching the semi's again, it's just frustrating

I don't think we'll sign any great players in the transfer window so our objective can only be staying in La Liga. Look at Celta, Betis and Athletic - their squads are at least as good as ours and they got into trouble. With a bad start into the season I could easily see us relegating.

It's sad but I think our objection for next season is to avoid relegation. Or maybe fight for Intertoto spot. I think once again we'll play nicely in Copa, but as deporiginal said - please don't stop in semifinal again! For now on I think avoid relegation is the ambission. Maybe after some nice transfers (Uche?) I will change my mind.

I'll take a top10, please.

We can do it, nothing to it...!

I know I'm being a bit optimistic, but with some of the youngsters getting more experienced, Bodipo and de Guzmans good run towards the end of the season, xisco back, hopefully better performance from Riki among others and, I pray, some reinforcements for our defensive line with Andrade and Juanma gone...maybe

i think uefa must be our goal.
Now we have moved out almost all overpaid old players, and we can really begin the next cycle. Only Sergio and M.Pablo left and they are also probably going.
I want us to play 4-4-2 or a barcelona formation. We must have a pure striker in play all the time (Xisco or Bodipo), and have 1 or 2 (depends on the formation) half strikers/half wingers, like riki in.
Hope alvarez shows a bit more next season, De guzman is gonna be one of our main players, and also bodipo.
I hope we sign filipe, and one young defender. And move up some players from fabril.

i think you are right i will lower my expectations if we get the little lolita.
Hope we get some financial backing as soon as possible, so we can prevent the departure of some ambitious young players

Top 10 at least. Don't want us to be down in the relegation zone, and with some decent offence, we'll be able to make a top 10.. At least.

Look at Getafe, Villarreal, Huelva and Atletico... same strenght, but they are fighting for Europe.

I still think that Depor can finish on an Europa spot next year. The quality is in the squad, no doubt about that. Depor only need a fine coach who can put the players on the right place.

Lets say Im neutral about next season.. first we will have to see who will be new coach and what will happen with the investor thing.
