i wouldn't mind changing the name for a period of time if there is a lot of money behind that, for us it will be always Riazor, but it is not our stadium but the city could agree to do that to help Depor.

Maybe when the Estrella Galicia sponsorship deal is done Depor works out a deal with the city (after all Lendoiro is no longer negotiating) and Riazor becomes Estadio BWIN de a Coruña. Depor wears BWIN logo on their shirts. Then Deportivo ' s payroll goes up to €25 million per season and is saved from relegation for a few years. (Yeah its OK to dream a little)

Our stadium has character just like our team. If the team every gave away the stadium name to a company we might as well rename the team as well. The last thing our team needs is to look like sell outs.

Couldn't Depor sell the name of the stadium as well by the way? It'd be a shame to see the name Riazor disappear, but if it can bring us some extra cash, why not? I have no idea how much Depor would get paid for that though.

if this woud help us to save the club so we coud keep the name and averthing else i woud not mind that the name off the stadium woud change ore som more letters on the shirt

Nowhere else to put this, but if Bello is really serious that he'd sign Evaldo again for Depor, then there's another guy in my black book!

Since we're talking about the stadium, isn't it time already we do something about that nasty looking running track? Either renew it or remove it completely, the condition it currently is makes Riazor look like part of a city project to help the poor have some fun.

Wouldn't the capacity of the stadium increase by a few thousands if we take the running track away and renew the stands to add more seats in its place? I know right now we're out of money, but its something to consider for the future.

depor doesnt have the fan base for a stadium expansion. We only fill up the stadium for Barca, Real madrid, Valencia, and Celta games. It would be an unnessary expense probably also a reason why we reduced seating from the 40,000 I believe it had before it was renovated for the world cup. Our best attendances was probably the first time we got relegated and had a huge flock of supporters appear.

I don't know man, I think the fan base is there, its just that with us fading into mediocrity in the past decade plenty of them simply lost any incentive they had to go support the team (let's face it, we have been pretty awful to watch since the last year Irureta was in charge). That's why when the existence of the club seemed to be threatened the first time we went down to segunda, many of them came back.

IMO, a renovation of the stadium could lure some of them back in (which might justify adding more seats it in the process), as it could be seen as a sign of the club moving forward, looking up and finally having some solid plans for the future.

Yes, I know we probably can't afford it right now, but maybe is an idea the club should be planning around in the upcoming years. It may be our best chance to stop going up and down in between divisions.

I don't think our debut allow us to think about a new stadium at the moment

I like the board's connection with the fans through the social media. I'm just referring to this because of the current transfer season, but they had other cool movements on fb, youtube, twitter as well.

Small thing, but pretty cool for me. I missed these things in the previous era...

ps.: sorry for the big embedded images
