Iam surprised of this player, absolutely fantastic!
never seen a a defender with such accurate passes and smart penetrations.
if he continues like this we can guarantee 25+ millions at the end of the season.
The problem is that I feel so sorry for Sidnie who will rarely play this season unless other defenders are injured or if coach is changed.

He has been fantastic.
His pass and contribution to offense is really enjoyable to see.

My only critic is that we teams that know how to press high, he will sooner or later make a key mistake that will cost us a goal. I hope it doesn't happen too often. For example, I've seen him make many wrong passes against Real Madrid. Again, he's the best signing of the season so far.

Newcastle have spotted his ability to be a defensive midfielder and he scored twice recently. His runs forward are still dangerous. We missed an opportunity not playing him further forward.

Technically, he is one of three CB's. But watching him closely, it almost appears that he becomes a sweeper in front of the other two CB's when Newcastle are attacking. Very interesting move from Benitez and something i thought Liverpool should have done with Gerrard to get a couple more years out of him.

I said many times that I wish to see Schar playing as defensive midfielder, we wasted his talent and he showed us a "normal" central defender.

He and Sidnei were very similar players and that was one of (many) problems. If we played 3 at the back, Fabian and Sidnei + one solid hardcore CB that would be great. Ofcourse we didn't have a solid hardcore CB.
