Personally I think Andrade and Valerón deserved a nominations for their performances last season, but obviously the French newspaper responsible for this award doesn't agree.

Mista, Kapsis, Micoud and so on... I mean, come on!!

I think Ronaldinho should and will win. He's worth it for his great performances last season when he took care of Barca's attacks almost alone and brought them to a 2nd place in La Liga. Must say he was much better last season than he's been this season so far.

**No John Terry! What kind of sick individual compiled that list?

**I think my vote is split between Vicente and Ricardo Carvalho. I think I'd just give it to Carvalho (God, don't I sound like a Chelsea fan?).

**Alas!

**He is awesome, though, isn't he? I know Sol Campbell is recovering from injury, and Rio Ferdinand's form has been very good since his suspension, but to be honest, Terry has shown all the form of the world's best defenders. Plus he's a fantastic passer of the ball. And on top of it all, he's a great captain.[/gush]

Ronaldinho is quite deserving of it...but the best part is Raul isn't nominated! Surprisingly, since he's usually represented in these award type things.

Micoud was quite instrumental in Werder Bremen's bundesliga title but I've never seen him play since the World Cup.

I'd choose Deco, Ronaldinho or Lampard!

I agree John Terry must be in this list!

P.S. My message number 1000.

Scholes - hasn't played well for 3 years
Barthez - o.k veeeeery funny
Nikoplidis - Makes sooooooo many mistakes
Mista - Hhhmmmmmmm
Zidane - The guy has been rubbish since January(funnily enough the same time that Real Madrid started to lose again and again)
Baraja - He is so overated
Beckham - It wouldn't be a proper awards ceremony without him

Why wasn't the worlds greatest striker Owen not on the list and I was really surprised by Raul Bravos omission

No Makaay, Andrade, Casillas, Terry and Gattuso come on!

What is this award anyway? It's pointless. Let Zidane win please. Or take a random.
