Default Diego Armando Maradona

Famous Bosnian Serb film director Emir Kusturica, has made a documentary film on the life of Diego Maradona. The film will be presented in a few days at the Festival de Cannes, so i guess after that it will be distributed in cinemas across the world.
I can't wait for this!

(i was surpirsed the only topic about Maradona, was one in which there was discussing only its health problems. Anw, since Maradona, is still in the timeliness, not as player anymore, but in many ways, i thought that in a general thread on him we will post and discuss anything about him)

I thought Kusturica really lost the plot with his last film, which was so excrutiating that it even made the other ones a little worse. However, this does look like a step in a whole new direction, so it's at least bound to be interesting.

I couldn't agree, more!
Kusturica is far away from his peaks, and i consinder this quite normal, but i think that in a case as this one, on the life of Diego, you simply has to let the story rolls...

in that case it will be successful

True that, though I wouldn't be surprised if he right after the hand of god would produce some bells and ribbons out of thin air, and the English and Argentinians would ensue in a cacaphonial dance number for the last 15 minutes of the film.

Maradona as the new coach in Argentina's national team

That's a big risk, which will probably fail! Maradona hasn't any experience at all! The fact that he's an icon for every football player in Argentina doesn't guarantee a success.

Anw, i hope he will make it

i hope too he makes it, and i think he perhaps could. What he doesnt have in experience, he has more in motivation skills.
Like: he doesnt need any motivation skills; he IS the motivation.

It's just a mask, the real coach will be Bilardo.

When they next play England should be fun.

My maths teacher was right, legends on the pitch can't transfer that success to a managerial career.

I'm more interested in how he'll depart the role. Can you imagine the Argentina FA trying to sack him? There'd be a revolution. Being the kind of guy that he is, I'm predicting he'll walk when he gets bored.

Perhaps his maths teacher was talking about managing mathematical problems.

aah... Maradona always was an artist, meaning he always puts up a good show... playing football or somehow else!
This thing as national coach will be fun to witness (let's remember his an "expert survivor").

I got my tickets through today for the Scotland-Argentina match. Messi and Riquelme won't be there but I guess you could say there bringing a half decent squad, I just hope they go easy on us.
