Default UEFA U-21 European Championship 2007 (in Holland)

The tournament is started. I'm watching Holland-Israel. Holland is leading 1:0 (28 min.). Both teams are not playing their best match.

Bit boring match indeed. Good to see that Maduro scored!

Belgium surprisingly good. We should have at least scored one. We are actually better than Portugal, nice

Nuts. We should've won this game based on the first half. Four very big chances went begging. The second half was a lot more balanced, and at the end the Portuguese tried to press forward and they were dangerous a couple of times, although Belgium was dangerous on the counter too. It's good to see that our national team still has a bright future.

0-0 isn't a bad result of course. A win against Israel could get us very close to qualification.

Second half I saw a much better Holland, especially in the last 20 minuts of the game. Good start, though opponent...

Belgium deserved a win yes.. lame Portugese with there "stars" were complettly outplayed as a team today.

Mark my words, Vermaelen is gonna be so much better than Kompany.

Inded, your team is full of talent. Do you know El Matador Kempes? he is one of the commentators for ESPN and during the transmission, he compared this team to the one that played the WC in Mexico in 1986.

I think you're right, partially because Kompany is injured so quick.

In ten years from now, if this team keeps evolving, that might be true. Although the 1986 team had some luck in Mexico back then. If Belgium got a good ref in the WC 2002 against Brazil, the team could've accomplished the same thing. It's just so sad that our current national team plays without passion... It's like watching Deportivo.

Belgium's not great today, but what do you want if you only have 10 men on the pitch since minute 18 It's been a long, long time since I've seen a referee this horrible. Incredible! He's throwing cards around like crazy. It'll be a miracle if retarded Blondel (I call him the butcher of Bruges ) doesn't get a red.

I hope we can keep this 0-0. If Holland is already qualified, they might take it easy on the Belgians this saterday.

Two yellow cards for... Fellaini Both wére fouls, however there absolutely not worth a yellow, certainly not when you've only played for 18 minutes Just giving the ball to Israel would've been enough. Israel also got a free kick in the penalty area after a defender got a ball against his leg and our goalie picked it up. It was clearly not a pass, the ball just rolled towards the keeper. Seriously, the slightest thing that happens is followed by a whistle. Very, very annoying to watch. Vertonghen is also suspended for the game against Holland, after he touched some Israeli with a finger

Ah bah, I hate that kind of referees.. Shame that Vergonghen wont be there, I would love to see him play against his teammate Maduro ^^

I hope that Holland wins tonight and Belgium wins vs Holland... and than meet eachother again in the final

Congratz Belgium, well deserved

After 1 half, Holland is leading with 1-0 after a easy given penalty. Babel scored the goal. The lead is fully deserved, Portugal is really a overrated team. Nani 25 million? Even my grandmother is worth more than that cry-baby.

Holland cleary dominates, some big chances to score the 2-0 and Im sure Holland will make it to the semi-finals!

Well... they didnt^^ Portugal played a bit better, but Holland still had the best chances to score. 2-1 is a fully deserved win for them! They booked a place in the semi final and also got a ticket for the Olympic Games in Peking next year!
