Default I HATE SQUAD NUMBERS!!!!!!!!

Why was the 1-11 system ever abandoned? It made so much more sense.Numbers should belong to the position and not the player.Squad numbers make sense in a world cup or a euro championship because there is a set squad number.Anyone agree /disagree?

I agree, the number 23 for Beckham (to make the people compare him with Jordan) make me sick

My opinion is that it's good to have fixed squad numbers. Like if I'm watching a team play that I don't know so well and don't recognise the players by appearance then it's good as numbers are easier than names to see. Also when buying a player jersey you wouldn't want the player to wear one with different number.
