Default Australia: A-League (2006/2007)

The A-League got underway last night with Melbourne Victory defeating last year's minor premiers Adelaide United 2-0.

I still reckon they lack the fire power up front. Alex Brosque was their top scorer last season and now he's gone. The Roar's only Socceroo Matt McKay must step and play as good if not better than how he played last year.

Goals in the 80th, 83rd and 85th minute have helped the Queensland Roar to a 3-0 victory over Perth Golry at Suncorp Stadium tonight.

I am forced to eat my own words after what I said in the previous post.

Yeh totally, this league has grown in stature...

I really would like to see more fans at the stadium, and infortunately i can't go any games (work part time on the weekend, today i my first day off on a weekend in like 4 months)

But anyway... the fans are great... the football is growing and football in Australia is commerically marketable (is that a word lol) and reputable.

I sort of new that a half decent footballer wouldn't be caught dead playing in the A-league. lol
