It's Ramos for me. I agree with Maldini that he's going to be the best defender in the world soon. Equally good defending and going forward, fantastic on set pieces, and one of the fastest players in La Liga. Opponents have to mark him. It also helps that you could plug him in at just about any position in defense and midfield.

MP is second in my book, and arguably Depor's player of the year. Nobody else on that list is even close.
Alves should be up there, but I think he started believing his own hype this year. I could actually see him getting fat and throwing it all away next year.

Manuel Pablo. Hard decision with Sergio Ramos and Manny, but our veteran deserves it after playing consistently on a high level and playing in so great part of our success this year. Ramos is no doubt going to be a legend if he continues his path, though. Great player aswell.

why do i think that if Manny played in another team, Ramos would have won comfortably? It's not about who you like, but how good someone is

I don't know...

Manuel Pablo was outstanding all season long and considering his age and offensive skills he deserves this.

I would like to vote for M Pablo because he has been solid this season, but when it comes to individual talent, Sergio Ramos takes it. Even tho he got 3 red cards, he's extremely talented and versatile for his age.

Unfortunately, I can.

I actually think it's a good thing that we have a large number of people who are able to think rationally and maturely about who they consider to be the best particular player in the relevent position.

The thread is all about acknowledging good players on their merits, not discriminating against individuals because of something that has no relevence to how good they are.

i wud go for Coloccini, as i've not seen many of them.. Milito, Puyol, Cannavaro all had an average season.. and Perea is a player who got 15 yellow cards this season who IMO, shud not have been even in the list..
