If Colo's getting 81%, I'd say de Guzman would get a unamimous decision when we vote for his position.

The best two centre backs in Spain this year have been Godin and Gonzalo Rodriguez, yes Colo has had a fine second half of the season but overall the Villareal backline has been the most consistent throughout the campaign.

1. Colo (key to Depor's turn around IMO)
2. Puyol (not quite as good as years past but still good).

Is there going to be a second vote for the other centre back-or will the top two in this thread be chosen?

It's in the 1st post of this thread.

With this choice, you should only pick the person you think has been the best centre back. After the deadline is closed, the person with the most votes will go into the Team of the Year and everyone else will get a chance to be picked alongside them in another poll.

I think mr Balague has forgotten Messi oh well, perhaps replace Nihat with Messi and Godin with Coloccini and Iniesta with Gago and I'd agree with that.

No Coloccini or De Guzman? And Mane as left back? Capdevila and Filipe were way better than him! Poor team.

I agree and I think that Robinho and Messi were also good this season.

Problem with Messi is that he was injured for big part of season. He was in excellent form in the beginning of season but then he got injured...

Default 2nd Best Centre Back La Liga Team of the year

With Coloccini already in as the best centre back this season, we now have to choose who shall partner him.
As always, let's pick who we think has been the best out of the options available and not our favorites.
