Arbeloa will do ok against Arsenal and Barça, but I want to see him against (for example) Watford forwards who play a very physical game. I guess he will have a harder time until he gets used to that kind of football.

Yes i know. Struggled all season with an injury one way or another. Mind i'd rather that than the one he now has. At least 4 months out. And he was getting better and better every game he played.

Arbeloa's looking a very good signing. Took his goal really well today, and was outstanding against Arsenal. Bargain at £2.4m - four starts, and he's already kept Messi in his pocket twice, set up one and scored one.

What a goal we should have played him as our striker
it was nicely surprising that he run to the center instead of running to the wings like any other defender would have done.

I still wonder what Depor exactly got for selling Arbeloa to Liverpool in January.

The price mentioned was €4 million. Of this we had to pay 1,35 million back to Real Madrid, which is almost the same we paid to them this summer (€1.3 million). So, we paid €2,65 million and got €4 million, meaning a profit of €1,35 million. Obviously, that's not much for a 24-year old player who entered the Champions League final this season with Liverpool.

For example, was their some renegotiation for Barragán? Liverpool still have the option to buy Barragán back cheaply. Both Arbeloa and he play at the same positions (central or right defence).

there was also some talk about the owners or perhaps former owner of Leverpool would buy some Depor stocks?? But like always with Depor we never seem to get all of the informations. If any of the clauses with Baragan have changes then we will now if Liverpool suddenly get interested again?
