We picked up a point and overall we were much better than we have been but we are already at the stage where we need points and this was 2 dropped rather than 1 gained.

Lots of chances today. Andone had 3 good chances, hitting the bar with one and Fede hit the post too but the best chance went to Lucas Perez, when we were awarded a penalty but his shot was saved by Lopez.

There were some positives to take from the game but some of the basics could be improved on. The control of the ball at times was like something you see down the local park and we still look like we want to rush everything and lack composure.

Would go with Muntari and Mosquera in the middle for the next game

Hope that Seedorf will finally see that Colak must play.
Also I am content with Muntari's ball control and passing - didn't expect that. Maybe he can really add something to the team.

We had luck that Espanyol didn't have single shoot therefore Ruben didn't have a chance to make mistake.

Would definitely like to see Colak start next week as well. Perhaps instead of Andone (Then put Lucas on top ofc).

Muntaris control looked very promising. I remember him as hardworking as well, though he looked quite heavy/lazy? Maybe he just needs to improve his fitness

Next game will be against Getafe (Away) and then home against Eibar.

It's do or die ...

Lots of positives things and effort from our players, we were disastrously unlucky.

Watched a depor match after a long time. Actually I woke up late so only started watching from 54 mins onwards. Looked like the team was playing well and putting lot of pressure on the opponent.

Lucas penalty and Andone hitting the post was the difference today. I think towards the end the players came under extreme pressure which meant that they were shooting all over the place.

I think Seedorf should take this lineup and the confidence we got today and build on that.

1- Solid defence against 3 quality strikers (Moreno, Bautista, Garcia) which is something we haven't seen in a long time.
2- We finally found our midfield, with Guilherme and Mosquera. Muntari has that touch quality, but as a couple of you mentioned, he clearly lacks match fitness
3- Adrian and Cartabia were a little off today, but definitely work hard
4- Andone is a beast, but lacks the "talent" Lucas Perez has
5- Lucas is sooo nervous every time he touches the ball. That penalty would have given him that confidence back, and a couple more points
6- Seedorf: He is into something... Looking forward to the next game

I would much rather see someone like seedorf or victor suceed at depor than someone like Mel or Victor Fernandez who simply recycle old tactics. I am not saying seedorf or victor are great but they are more likely to try new things and bring in some actual creativity. I hope seedorf is able to evolve into that role. He is not there yet but for the sake of depor I hope he gets there quick.

The bar, the post, saved penalty... Lack of aim or no luck? We really played a good game. You can say that it was against Espanyol who did nothing, but for me defensively we are finally improving and we played a good game. There were really many positives, but unfortunately in attack we still have a homework to do and this draw hurts.

As I said this Depor is cursed.

For the past 3 games we hit the post 4 times. All of them when the result was still 0-0, a goal against any of those 3 team could have meant 3 points.
Don't get me wrong we totally deserve to be in this situation, but a bit of luck never hurts.

In general second half was fairly good, but does it matter when you are not able to score after so many opportunities? We should have scored, at least one out of these 5-6 chances we had.

Just for the record, without Albentosa and Bakkali we looked kind of OK today. If a few more players get injured we might survive somehow

Muntari was overall fine i think he needs to lose some weight as well...and again Emre Colak should play more than this,he has the vision that no one has in the sqaud.
The positive thing is that we kept a clean sheet even though it was against a team didn’t make any special effort to score a goal

The problem with Colak is his inconsistency. He barely plays like that when is given a chance. His talent can be seen from miles, but he has a lot more to improve.
Muntari played 10-15min., and its too early to say if he was ok or not. For sure first impression left by him is bette than the one of Krohn-Dheli. I would try with Mosquera-Muntari vs. Getafe.

Now I understand why Seedorf picked up Valverde instead of Borges.
Seedorf seems to want CM for moving ball with dribbling like he did as a player.

Mosquera did so well today at this point.
If Valverde comes back, I think we can play dynamic football.

No luck, 1 point, the woodworks but I see some hope today.
Players were deserved to get standing ovation after the match.

Some positive things but the situation doesn't really change:
- First clean sheet in a while
- Mosquera had spirit and looked much like the version of him from 2 years ago
- We have seen how our midfield becomes more dangerous with gifted players: Colak and Muntari showed what it is to have midfielders able to pass

Some negative things as well:
- Our defence seemed better but it is still shaky
- Juanfran gave up possession a couple of times and could have made this game repeated history
- I would punch Ruben for trying to dribble instead of clearing the ball when he had enough space and time to do so.
- We were unable to score a goal after all the opportunities including a penalty
- Dropping 2 points like this are things that cost us too much

Now let's hope everyone else in our zone loses
