The peña members of RCDLC.com chose Florin Andone as the nest signing of the season. He was named as the best player in 6 of the 42 official games during the season and only nine points separated him from Juanfran, who won the race for the Player of the Season Award.

Andone arrived at Deportivo in July f 2016, according to several sources the amount of his transfer from Córdoba CF was between €3.5 and €4 million and included a percentage of a future sell.  After the exit of Lucas Pérez it was feared that the club had lost all the gunpower in attack, but he left the feeling of been a worthy successor, though the beginning wasn’t easy. And it’s that the Romanian had problems to adapt and faced anxiety after spending scoreless his first eleven games with the team

Things changed after the game with Granada CF (November 5), because he scored the goal in the final 1-1 draw and then chained six straight games in which scored five more goals and also provided an assist. After a drought in which the team had terrible results, he regained his previous form and ended the season scoring four goals within his last five games in liga.

The striker ended the season as the top-scorer at Deportivo netting 12 goals in liga, considering that he was a new signing it meant the second highest mark among the summer signings at Primera only behind the 14 goals scored by Malaga’s Sandro. Andone is also the fourth player that nets double digit marks for Depor within the last ten seasons at Primera, the previous three were Lucas Pérez (17), Riki (13) and Diego Tristán (11).

Bu perhaps the quality that the fans liked the most was the courage and fight that Andone puts in every game, it was normal to see him running until the end for each long throw, which made him suitable for the game practised by Depor throughout the season.
