Depor won ten of the twelve games played during the pre-season, Edu Expósito, Juanfran and Navarro played in all the friendly matches, while Bruno Gama was the best scorer and assistor.

Deportivo played twelve friendly matches in the pre-season, it won ten times, drew once and lost the remaining game. The team scored 42 goals and only allowed 7. Four of the seven goals allowed were suffered in the only defeat (0-4 at FC Porto). The only draw was a goalless game against Real Oviedo.

The biggest win was a 7-0 victory at SC Arosa, while there were other two victories with the team scoring six goals: UD Somozas (6-1) and Bergantiños CF (6-1). The other two big wins were against CD Silva (5-0) and Pontevedra CF (5-0).

31 players had minutes during the pre-season, seven of them are from the academy (Francis, Edu Expósito, Queijeiro, Óscar, Aarón Sánchez, Pedro Alves & Adrián Castro). Curiously, one of the academy players, Edu Expósito, was one of the three men that played in all the twelve pre-season games.  The other two were Fernando Navarro and Pedro Mosquera.

Other seven men made eleven appearances during the pre-season: right-back Juanfran, centre-backs Alejandro Arribas and Raúl Albentosa, left-back Luisinho, centre midfielders Guilherme and Fede Valverde, plus right winger Bruno Gama.

Juanfran was the player with more minutes during the pre-season (587). Other eight players accumulated 500 or more minutes in this stage: Mosquera (581), Guilherme (576), Luisinho (551), Bruno Gama (543), Sidnei (542), Navarro (529), Edu Expósito (521) and Albentosa (528).

Th top-scorer in the pre-season was Bruno Gama, who netted six goals. Andone and Borges scored four times. The Portuguese was also the best assistor with six assists, while Fede Cartabia provided five.
