Lucas Pérez and Pantilimon joined the trainings and are available for Pepe Mel, while Rubén Martínez and Carles Gil are skipping the match.

Deportivo return into competition after the international break hosting Real Sociedad at the Riazor (Sunday, 12h00 CET). Coach Pepe Mel saw how his number of players raised to 25 after the late signings of Lucas Pérez and Costel Pantilimon, both players joined the trainings during the week and are available.

But two men are skipping the match: goalkeeper Rubén Martinez and ´playmaker Carles Gil. The Galician goalie was the best player against Levante UD and during last week he suffered damage in the ulnar collateral ligament of the right thumb during a training session. It’s expected that he will be out for at least one month.

This was the reason why the club decided to sign Pantilimon on deadline day, the Romanian goalie will complete three training sessions before the match, but it’s expected that the chosen one to be a starter is Przemysław Tytoń.

Meanwhile, playmaker Carles Gil suffered a relapse from his groin injury (pubalgy), the doctors decided to operate and the surgery will take place on next week. It’s expected that he will be out until Christmas.

At Real Sociedad, the team arrives to matchday 03 with the label of “leader” after winning the first two games. Coach Eusebio Sacristán only has two confirmed casualties for the meeting, the first is centre-back Raúl Navas (vertebral facture) and midfielder Jon Guridi (knee).

International players Gerónimo Rulli (Argentina), Mikel Oyarzabal (Spain) and Carlos Vela (Mexico) joined the trainings after the break, Oyarzabal is doubtful for the game after picking an ankle knock playing for the U-21 national team.

At the beginning of the week striker Juanmi (Muscle) and defender Rubén Pardo (knee) didn’t train at the same pace than the rest of the squad, though it’s expected both will be available for the game at the Riazor.
