Cristóbal Parralo is the new coach of Deportivo; he was the coach of Fabril until Tuesday and is the responsible of having the team at the top of Segunda B.

After Pepe Mel was fired, the club decided that the replacement will be Cristóbal Parralo, the current coach of Deportivo Fabril. He will coach the first team until the end of the season. The Andalusians is a former right-back with a large experience as a player: 623 official games, 454 of them at Primera División performing for Barcelona, Oviedo, Logroñés & Espanyol. He also played six times for Spain’s national team. He is the 23th men with more Primera games.

He started his coaching career as an assistant for SL Benfica, after a couple of minor jobs he became the coach of SD Girona and CF Damm, and in 2016 he was hired as the coach of Fabril. His career with the B team of Deportivo is impeccable since then.

Last season there was a slow start, but the team ended clinching the promotion to Segunda B, and in the current season they are the surprising leaders after ten matchdays. The promotion of Parralo is causing an effect at other teams, now the new coach of Fabril is Rubén Coméndez, who is the coach of Juvenil A. He will be supported by Manuel Pablo.

Parralo leaves Fabril with a mark of 34 victories in 50 matches and likes to play with 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 schemes. His assistant will be Javier Manjarín, the former striker of Deportivo that scored 19 goals with the team between the years 1993 and 1999, including the first goal in the final of Copa facing Valencia CF. The physical coaches will be Luis Rodríguez Fandiño and Julio Hernando.
