Andone returns and Parralo is only having the casualty of Cartabia for the Galician derby. RC Celta is only one of the two teams without casualties in this matchday.

Saturday of derbies in Spain, La Liga is closing the door in 2017 and is doing it playing three derbies on Saturday, the one closing the matchday is the Onosoderby with RC Celta visiting the Riazor (18h30 CET). It hasn’t been a good start of season for both Galician clubs, they are closer to relegation than the European zone and a victory will be a boost to wait for better times in 2018.

Coach Cristóbal Parralo is recovering people for the game. Right-back Gerard Valentín is available after surpassing a hamstring problem, he received the medical okay to play on Thursday. Florin Andone, who picked an adductor muscle injury in the last training before visiting FC Barcelona, is also available. The Romanian trained with the group the whole week, though it’s expected that he will continue on the bench.

It means that the only player on the sidelines is Fede Cartabia, the playmaker was operated from a groin injury and doctors expect that he could be back in February. Carles Gil and Sidnei lowered the intensity during the week, but it was only a precaution as both men are coming out from injuries, and it’s expected that both can be starters on Saturday.

Fabril is on the Christmas break and won’t return to train until next week, but some of the lads are still working as they are training with the first team, it’s the case of Blas Alonso, Steve One, Edu Expósito, Óscar and Francis. On Wednesday and Thursday the list included Juvenil A keeper Ramón.

RC Celta arrive to the meeting with the meltdown of losing the last game hosting Villarreal (0-1), which means they have only added one of the last nine points in dispute. The worst part is that they left a grey impression in that game, which included to only complete three shots on target despite having the ball the major part of the time.

But coach Juan Carlos Unzué is having a full squad available for the derby. Hugo Mallo and Iago Aspas missed the last game at Balaídos due to suspension, and now return to a team without injury cases. Los Celestes, together with Real Madrid, are the only teams at the elite with a full squad available for the final matchday in 2017.
