The club confirmed on Monday that left-back Saúl Garcia will play loaned at Segunda club CD Numancia. It’s the second exit during the winter window after Arribas.

Deportivo announced on Monday that Saúl García is going to play loaned at CD Numancia until the end of the season. The left-back was the only player without minutes on the league season, his only appearance was to perform for ninety minutes in the returning-leg in Copa Del Rey before UD Las Palmas (November 29).

CD Numancia is currently fourth at Segunda División, the team is currently coached by Jagoba Arrasate and Saúl will have to dispute the spot with veteran Adrián Ripa. This is the second exit during the winter window after Alejandro Arribas.

The loans has been the constant in the career of Saúl García; he arrived to Depor for the season 2015/16; despite barely playing in the first part of the campaign, it was a positive year for the 21-year-old player. He was loaned to CD Tenerife during the winter window after only playing in Copa with Deportivo, the Canarians lived at mid-table all season long, without approaching to the promotion seats, but neither menaced by relegation.

It was a good move for the left-back after not having any action at Deportivo, because he played in 20 of the 23 games disputed by Tenerife since his arrival. Saul was solid in defence, but missed accuracy with his crosses (only 14 of his 67 crosses met the target -21% of the total-) Still, the media praised his performance and the intention of the club was to extend the loan for next season, but Deportivo wanted him back.

He returned to A Coruña only be loaned again to Segunda club Girona FC ahead of the campaign 2016/17, he only made six appearances with the Catalans, so at the middle of the season he was moved to RCD Mallorca, club where he lived the nightmare of the relegation to Segunda B (he made 11 appearances with the team).
