Sulleyman Muntari will join the trainings on Friday and will be on trial as Deportivo try to complete the squad for the remaining of the season.

The club informed on Thursday that Sulleyman Ali Muntari will be on trial during the coming days. The 33-year-old centre midfielder is a free agent and can sign for any La Liga club and Deportivo have a spot available. He will join the trainings on Thursday and Seedorf will decide if he is inscribed or not.

The Ghanaian has a long career in Europe, especially in Italy. He played 270 Serie A matches performing for Udinese Calcio, Inter Milan and AC Milan, precisely in this last stage he coincided twice with Seedorf, first as team mates (season 2011/12) and later as coach and player (campaign 2013/14).

His most recent experience was to perform for Pescara Calcio on last season; he made 9 appearances in a team that suffered the relegation. His last official game was almost one year ago: 0-1 loss at Cagliari (April 30, 2017).

Deportivo are currently searching for a defensive midfielder and Muntari might be the option that the club was waiting. His signing would be possible as Bruno Gama was rescinded on deadline day leaving the squad composed by 24 players.
