STATISTICS: THIRD COPA SERIES WITH LOS MAÑOS
Deportivo and Real Zaragoza are having a good start in the league, competence where they remain as two of the six teams that are undefeated. Now they face each other for the third time in history for Copa Del Rey. Each side has won a series so far.

For the season 1960/61, both teams collided in the second round of the competition. The Aragonians trashed the Galicians in the first-leg (5-1) and the returning leg at the Riazor ended in a 3-3 draw. Depor had the revenge during the campaign 1991/92, it won at La Romareda 0-2 and later won again at the Riazor (3-2). In that edition Atlético Madrid were crowned as the champions after eliminating Deportivo in semifinals (agg. 3-1).

DEPORTIVO: FACELIFT
The Copa arrives and normally it means rotations at any team, and it won’t be the exception for Deportivo as coach Natxo González will make ten changes compared to the starting eleven that faced Sporting Gijón. Michael Krohn-Dehli is the only one staying in the formation, though this time it’s expected that he will perform as centre midfielder.

It’s a complex week as the next liga game is also on the road and the coaching staff decided to not return to A Coruña after this game in order to avoid tiredness (the team will train in Segovia during Thursday and Friday). Among the changes is to play with Víctor García in attack, the winger of Fabril scored twice in his debut at Segunda B and now gets a chance due to the casualties with the strikers.

Team news: Borja Valle and Quique González remain at the injury room, while Christian Santos is concentrated with Venezuela national team. Apart from Víctor García, there are other two Fabril’s players on the roster: goalkeeper Álex Cobo and midfielder Javi Cobo. Four men are rested: David Simón, Domingos Duarte, Diego Caballo and Álex Bergantiños. They will join the team on Thursday at Segovia.

Man to watch: Winger Víctor García.  The 21-year-old player is the first Fabril’s member to enjoy a chance on this season. He scored twice against Inter de Madrid coming out from the bench and since then he has been a starter with Tito Ramallo.

Picked players: (20) Dani Giménez, Ortolá, Álex Cobo (goalkeepers); Gerard Valentín, Bóveda, Pablo Mari, Somma, Sebastián Dubarbier, Saúl García (defenders); Edu Expósito, Pedro Mosquera, Michael Krohn-Dehli, Vicente Gómez, Didier Moreno, Javi Cobo, Pedro Sánchez, Carles Gil, Fede Cartabia (midfielders); Carlos Fernández & Víctor García (attacker)

Predicted lineup: (4-3-1-2) Ortolá – Gerard Valentín, Bóveda, Somma, Dubarbier - Mosquera, Krohn-Deli, Edu Expósito – Carles Gil – Cartabia, Víctor García

ZARAGOZA: HIGH HOPES
Real Zaragoza already demonstrated that they are ready to become the centre of the attention at Segunda División. On last weekend they trashed Real Oviedo (0-4) and confirmed their progression since falling in the past playoff round. It’s considered as one of the most solid blocks in the league. They barely made changes from last season and have been giving opportunities to the lads from the B squad.

Coach Imanol Idiakez gave some clues about the lineup that he will use against Depor and the team will still complete a training session on Wednesday, so final decisions are about to be made, but massive changes are already expected at the starting formation. Actually, the entire starting eleven might be different.

Team news: Midfielders Íñigo Eguaras and Raúl Guti (both groin) and striker Gaizka Toquero (knee) are the players out for injury reasons. Midfielder Giorgi Papunashvili is available after been concentrated with Georgia and is expected to start.

Man to watch: Striker Alberto Soro. Incredible projection from this 19-year-old attacker, he arrived in December from Villarreal Juvenil and only played 19 minutes with the B squad during last season, but Idiakez noticed something in him and already played three times in the current Segunda competition, on Saturday he came out of the bench and scored the fourth goal against Real Oviedo.

Picked players: The roster will be released on Wednesday.

Predicted lineup: (4-4-2) Ratón - Delmás, Perone, Álex Muñoz, Nieto - Buff, Pep Biel, Aguirre, Papunashvili – Medina, Soro.
